Jinsoo Lee, Associate
Mr. Jinsoo Lee specializes in complex litigation, representing clients in high-stakes business and real estate matters. He has extensive experience across various industries, representing large corporations, developers, homeowners’ associations, and government agencies. Mr. Lee has also represented government agencies at trial and through the appellate process in cases involving real property and class actions. Mr. Lee’s experience includes representing title insurance companies and their insureds in fraud and forgery claims, easement and encroachment disputes, and bad-faith claims.
Before joining Randall Coffee Humphrey LLP, Mr. Lee began his career working on real estate transactions in New York where he is licensed to practice law. He has also represented individual and corporate clients in complex tax litigation and became a tax law specialist certified by the California State Bar.
Mr. Lee graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University. He then received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine, where he served as an Executive Board Member of the UC Irvine Law Review. During law school, he externed for Judge Scott Clarkson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California; Associate Justice Richard Aronson, California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three; and the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel.
Representative Matters
Mr. Lee represented a public water district in Orange County in a quiet title action, successfully obtaining judgment to clear title against adverse claimants and securing uninterrupted access to key infrastructure assets.
Mr. Lee defended a Southern California city in a complex action asserting inverse condemnation, addressing claims arising from alleged government takings and property damage.
Mr. Lee assisted a healthcare district in defending a trial court judgment on appeal in a dispute over a Local Agency Formation Commission’s authority to regulate out-of-boundary service.
Mr. Lee litigated a high-stakes federal tax controversy contesting IRS determinations concerning a major property developer with nine-figure tax liability.
Mr. Lee represented municipalities against a major utility company in Southern California to recover underpaid utility user taxes relating to greenhouse gas credits.
