Alan Barkhordar, Associate

Biography

Mr. Alan Barkhordar is a transactional attorney working in the Firm’s real estate and corporate departments, where he handles a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions including entity formations, governmental licensing and compliance, and contract negotiations. In addition, Mr. Barkhordar is actively engaged in a variety of volunteer and community projects throughout the Southern California area. He is a member of the Cerritos Optimist Club, a local chapter of Optimist International, committed to supporting community-based programs intended to aid and encourage the development of youth. Mr. Barkhordar has also volunteered for the Public Law Center.

Mr. Barkhordar has represented numerous owners, developers, and investors in the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of a variety of different types of real property and projects. Mr. Barkhordar has advised on all development deal stages from structuring, negotiating, documentation and due diligence to closing and development, and has also negotiated and drafted office and retail ground leases. Mr. Barkhordar has advised and guided home builders and other commercial real estate developers through the various aspects of sophisticated real estate transactions and developments including the creation of master planned communities, condominiums and planned developments and the formation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other real estate development entities. Mr. Barkhordar’s clients include many prominent real estate developers in Northern and Southern California.

Mr. Barkhordar obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California – Irvine and a Juris Doctor degree from Chapman University Dale. E. Fowler School of Law, where he also became certified as a DRPA mediator. In addition to the California State Bar, Mr. Barkhordar is admitted to the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Business & Corporate Law and Real Estate Law sections and the Building Industry of America and serves on the Building Industry of America (Orange County Division) DRE Committee.
